Welcome to the official website of professional dance instructors Julia Zvenigorodskiy and Matt Fortuna

Julia Zvenigorodskiy began her ballroom dance training at the age of six in a program led by a renowned coach in St. Petersburg, Russia. Julia won regional and national awards in the ten-dance youth division. Julia continued to pursue dancing when she moved to the United States at the age of nine. While in school, she competed with her professional instructor, Michael Ulbrich, in the Professional/Amateur division winning numerous titles.
While completing her bachelors degree in Marketing and Communications at Emerson College, Julia began teaching dance and quickly became as passionate about it as her own dancing. Julia developed an inventive approach to teaching ballroom dance to both children and adults.
Matt Fortuna was introduced to dancing at a young age in Poland. He began his professional teacher training in the United States in Latin, Standard, American Rhythm and Smooth dance styles. Once completing his teacher certification, Matt quickly developed a passion for teaching dance. Matts enthusiasm, patience, and expertise is greatly appreciated by his students. Matt has brought out great talent and has trained dancers who are very successful on the competitive dance floor.
In 2008, Matt paired up with Julia to compete in the Professional International Latin division. They trained with some of the best coaches and dancers today such as Diana McDonald, Spencer Nyemchek, Ginette Cournoyer, among others. Matt and Julia have been greatly successful in competitions together and continue to strive to become the top dancers in the country. In addition to competing, Matt and Julia have done many shows and have been invited to perform at events all across the New England.

Matt and Julia are available to teach both private and group classes open to all ages and levels, socially or competitively. Whether you would like to learn to dance for fun, getting married, or want to take up a new hobby, ballroom dancing is great for your body, mind and soul.

Here are some of the dances that they offer: Salsa, Cha Cha, Swing, Merengue, Rumba, Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Hustle, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive, Quickstep.
Matt and Julia have extensive experience teaching children of all ages. They offer a Youth Dance Training program geared towards children and teens who are interested in learning to ballroom dance and are encouraged to showcase their skills by participating in local and national ballroom dance competitions. In this program, students will be introduced to ballroom dance in a series of group classes and private lessons where they will learn routines and technique. Not only is ballroom dance a fun social activity for children, but it is also a great exercise.
In addition to competing, Matt and Julia enjoy performing. They can make your corporate or private event unique by showcasing their talent and teaching a group class to get everyone dancing. This is a great icebreaker and team building activity. Matt and Julia have performed at events such as fundraisers, fashion shows, collegiate competitions, and private parties.
